1. General Provisions and Applicable Law

This Policy applies to everyone who uses the Service regardless of interface language. Applicable law depends on where the Service is used. The Service is intended only for persons who are at least 18 years old; use by anyone under 18 is prohibited.

Questions about personal data or payments may be sent to support@flashcardsluna.com. The User is responsible for keeping their login and password confidential and for activity under their account, including activity in the internal messenger and social network.

2. Personal Data Collected

The Service collects data needed to operate: email, nickname, and password; first name, last name, avatar, and preferences are optional. It may also process IP address, user-agent, device identifiers and characteristics, language, security and error logs, cookies/localStorage, sign-in history, learning progress, and actions within the Service. When the User signs in with Google, Apple, or Facebook, that provider supplies the data required for authentication.

User content includes cards, decks, notes, messages, posts, comments, images, photos, audio, voice recordings, and uploaded files. The Service does not ask Users to provide special categories of sensitive data; if a User voluntarily includes such data in content, it is processed only as needed to provide the selected feature.

For purchases, the Service processes the payment provider, product identifier, amount and currency, status, order or transaction identifier, and Google Play purchase token. FlashcardsLuna does not receive or store the full payment card number or the User's payment-account credentials.

3. Purposes of Data Processing

Data is processed to register and secure accounts; synchronize learning materials; operate the messenger and social network; provide support; perform analytics and diagnostics; send notifications; prevent fraud and abuse; fulfill AI, translation, and text-to-speech requests; and provide paid features.

Purchases of digital features in the Android application are processed through Google Play Billing, while website purchases are processed through Paddle. Purchase data is also used to verify and restore purchases, grant subscriptions or AI credits, and maintain required payment records.

4. Data Transfer to Third Parties and Storage

Personal data is not sold. It is shared only as necessary with providers that help deliver the Service: Google Play and Paddle for payments; Google, Apple, and Facebook for the sign-in method selected by the User; email and support providers; analytics providers; hosting, cloud-storage, and file-delivery providers; and AI, translation, or text-to-speech providers when the User invokes those features. These providers process data under their own terms and applicable law.

After account deletion is confirmed, access is blocked immediately and permanent removal of core user data is scheduled after 30 days. Certain records may be retained longer where required for security, billing, fraud prevention, backups, or legal compliance. The User can change/correct data or delete their account through Service settings.

5. User Rights and Data Protection

The User may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data through Service settings or at support@flashcardsluna.com. FlashcardsLuna uses HTTPS, password hashing, access controls, and other reasonable organizational and technical safeguards.

No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Users should use a strong unique password and promptly report suspected account activity.

6. Cookies, Policy Changes, and Final Provisions

Cookies/localStorage are used for authentication, security, preferences, analytics, and functionality. The User can manage them through the browser, but disabling required storage may prevent parts of the Service from working.

FlashcardsLuna may update this Policy by publishing a new version on the website. Material changes will be communicated by an available method. The Policy takes effect when published.
